A startup built on the Sails framework
A startup adopted the Sails framework and spent countless hours working around it. Everything was exposed globally. The ORM tried to be one interface for every database: it left odd invented indexes behind in Redis, and its SQL support handled neither joins nor transactions sanely. Ripped out eventually, with great pain, because the upgrade path was impossible. Fine for iterating quickly while you are learning. Not something to build a realtime SaaS on.
