A multiplayer drawing applet, written in Java in 2000, when realtime collaboration was still novel. A few people used it, and it was fun. Their conclusion, looking back from years later: none of this technology is new, plenty of people can knock a bare-bones copy together, and the expertise is already out there. Getting anyone to use it is the hard part — and that part had not been started.
